San Francisco

Photo Opp ~ San Francisco was a waypoint on my travels between southern Oregon and Pasadena California but unfortunately, it was only to grab a bite to eat and a few photos as I traveled through the city. I learned that bisecting the city’s downtown cutting through the Financial District and driving by the Transamerica Pyramid during workday traffic was not a wise idea and the congestion was what you would expect of a major metropolitan area and business hub. San Francisco is situated in northern California surrounded by the Pacific Ocean and San Francisco Bay. San Fran is a hilly city on the tip of a peninsula and is known for its year-round fog, iconic Golden Gate Bridge, cable cars and colorful Victorian houses. San Francisco, I am sorry I was only able to say hello and goodbye in a single breath; I will return when I have time to sit on the dock of the bay.

The Golden Gate Bridge spanning the Golden Gate, the one-mile-wide strait connecting San Francisco Bay and the Pacific Ocean. The bridge is one of the most recognized symbols of San Francisco, California.
